Remi’s Block, Concord, NH

2018 AIANH AWARD WINNER

Located on North Main Street in Concord, NH, this five story historic building was once condemned by the state.  After purchasing the building, the client approached SPA to redesign the three retail spaces on the ground level and to plan for 20 bedroom units on the second through fifth floors. The brick exterior of the building was largely kept intact, with the addition of balconies on the west and north sides to give tenants access to the outdoors.  In addition, twelve of the units located on the North Main Street side allot views to the State House and White Mountains.
